Catching up....

I can't wait to write a post all about my amazing trip to Cabo, but before I do I have to catch up- on some holiday/end of year pictures and then a post about a quick weekend with the Englishman!

I was lucky enough to pretty much have the last two weeks of December off from work to spend with Gwendolyn and my family. We mostly slept in, baked cupcakes and wrapped and unwrapped lots of Christmas presents!

We of course also went shopping, and eat like champs!

The Englishman's work party... couldn't be a worse photo of us both, but it is the best from the whole night :(
The Englishman and I had a few last date nights before he went away for two weeks :(
They were yummy dates!
We saw the Book of Mormon musical... I have mixed feelings/reviews... Almost wrote a whole blog post but couldn't get my feelings to be coherent... ask me if you care
We shopped...
And lunched...

And shopped a bit more...

Braved the ridiculous rain
Went to the SF Ballet Nutcracker

And just got terribly soaked trying to get back to the car afterward!
I made bacon brussel sprouts for the first time. And died of happiness.
We went to a friend's wedding
I tried wearing two shoes again
We went with cousins to the Jelly Belly Factory

Where everything... even the hot dogs are jelly bean shaped
Gwen loved her new Christmas present an American Girl Doll that looks like her, and all their matching clothes
I loved my fabulous first edition set of Les Mis and awesome jewelry from the Englisman
We played tourist in Chinatown with our visiting cousins
Which meant my niece and Gwen had to get matching dresses!
My parents were cute...
We lunched like champs
And really acted like tourists... taking pictures of adorable Chinatown streets!
Gwen practiced for her own blog one day
My parents were seriously cute...
But not as cute as us duckfaces

We enjoyed the fish at the Pier39 Aquarium
And got bamboozled into buying a souvenir stuffed animal

We shopped for vacation clothes and accessories...

Seriously hard choices!

And then I made a few bad shopping decisions... how could one go wrong with a sweater with sequin lips? Or a purse that looks like sunglasses? :( I hate having to return things.

And then just like that it was the end of 2012 and time for the Englishman to come back from England (yay) and I went back to work for a week and THEN my vacation to amazing Cabo which I can't wait to blog about!

Brace Yourself

Brace yourselves people. Super narcissistic action coming your way!

As you MAY have noticed I LOVE taking photos. I take pictures of my nails, my food, funny quotes, my shoes, silly things on the street, my daughter, every date I go on, special occasions and everyday enjoyments... EVERYTHING! I especially love photos of my Englishman, my daughter and of course me (when I look amazing that is, or funny... funny is the new beautiful right?)!

I am lucky enough to have the world's best sister. She is hilarious, tolerating of my crazy, always up for an adventure, a soda aficionado like me, a Friends lover, crafter and BEST OF ALL THE WORLD'S BEST PHOTOGRAPHER! I haven't really taken family photos since before my divorce (and let's be real, those pictures are now kind of not exciting to moi) and was long overdue. Luckily for me my sister was willing to be extremely patient and take some of Gwendolyn and I... two days after I had bunion surgery. I wanted to look amazing, like a good mom, but she could not show my boot! We also took these photos at a public outdoor mall and my sister is incredibly shy. She somehow put on her big girl panties though and took the most amazing photos ever (with no boot showing at all!) and was only mildly embarrassed of me in my surgical boot, one heel, delicate feather skirt, acting like a little photo nazi: "Don't make my nose look any bigger! Does my hair look flat? Is Gwen making ugly faces? Do we look like we love each other? Help me walk up the stairs! MEGAN! Did I put mascara on both eyes? Do I look like I have on too much blush? Do Gwen's shorts look ridiculous? Can you see my boot? No boot ok? Seriously? No boot!!" She also grabbed me when I feel UP the stairs at Blackhawk Plaza tripping over my boot and almost dying. So thanks for that dude.

Now, seriously, brace yourselves. This is a lot of photos. But they look good, I am mean I look good, I MEAN my sister is good at photoshop!
