Dolphin Tale

I feel like my Cabo posts have been super lame. I don't really have any good commentary on what we did etc, or any crazy funny stories... and unfortunately this post is the same. Gwen has been dying to try swimming with dolphins and I finally gave in and did it with her. I am not a big swimmer, and I dislike fish etc.. but since everyone pointed our dolphins aren't fish I was out of excuses. It turned out to be an amazing experience and something I would absolutely recommend to other parents. What kid doesn't love dolphins? Please excuse my face in every photo.... after I had paid and set it all up Gwen decided she was scared! What? So, when we first got in the water I had to pretend to be over happy and excited so she would warm up... hence my super awk faces!

Or so we thought... till they recommend we put on wetsuits as the water is FREEZING! Doesn't Gwen look adorable?

We waited a long time, and guess what? Those wet suits do their job. I thought I was going to die of stuffy hotness sitting there in that thing. Unfortunately, once I got in the water I was freezing. Le sigh.

We were excited to learn that our dolphin Aqua was the queen of the pool. She was "married" to the head male dolphin and had the only baby dolphin at the center. She is apparently the sweetest dolphin they have ever had and absolutely gorgeous. We kept laughing as her "husband" Nacho, king dolphin, kept leaving his group to come over and check on Aqua as she worked with us. Nacho's trainer was getting so frustrated but I thought it was secretly adorable he kept swimming over to smooch her and check on how she was!

Dolphin belly is literally the softest thing I have ever touched. I need a line of dolphin skin blankets and sheets to come out ASAP.

Aqua apparently super loved me. She went back for like five extra kisses... and she kept opening her mouth and trying to lick my face. I am currently trying so hard to maintain a smile here but secretly SO freaked out. A)she reeks of fish breath B)I am scared of aquatic life and I was the last person in our group to go... why get a case of the lickies now? 

We so loved Aqua and her gorgeous sweet eyes, and her cute face that always looked like it was smiling. Thanks for totally curing me of my fish fears!

Showered and changed and fish stench free! (we both feed Aqua lots and lots of fish, and I could not wait to scrub my hands clean, oh and my face from all that licking!)

This may have been Gwen's best day in Cabo!
